February 2010 Adoptions

Magnus - adopted 2/6/2010

Magnus  is keeping his name!  After waiting for 11 LONG months of not having a family - he has a great new dad and a fur sister!

Magnus came from Emporia, Kansas where he and his sister were found as strays and approximately 5 months old.  How can it be that he was in the pound from October '09 till February '10?  He is a lovey guy!

From his Adoptive Dad: Hello! This is Michael, I adopted Magnus from you about a month or so ago and I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how great he is doing! He is the PERFECT addition to my little pack. He and my husky Kaiya have become very close friends who like to run and rough house in their backyard. Magnus loves going to see his cousin Jake (my folks 7 month old pup) for some extremely rough, knock down drag out fun!!!! He's really a great dog. He's very sweet, he likes everyone and everything and he's exceptionally affectionate. We are still working on his training, but he has learned quite a bit, and doesn't jump up usually. its rare that he does, but sometimes giving a new person a kiss is just too tempting for the poor guy. :) I've attached a picture of his latest trick, get up in the chair, sit, and stay. We've done some other clicker/shape training which has been pretty fun for both of us. :) Wonderful, wonderful dog. I can't thank you enough and I have no idea how he could've sat in a pound for as long as he did before you rescued him! Please also give a huge thank you to Molly for coming out and meeting us that frigid night!

Ajax - adopted 2/4/2010

Ajax made his way Colorado from Ohio via Pilots N' Paws after he along with his 7 other litter mates were dumped in a drop box at the pound and left for dead.  Argus took four different flight to make it to Colorado and with the help of amazing volunteers has made Colorado home.

Ajax has yet to be renamed but is now the official dog of a young couple that is new to Colorado but is loving the lifestyle to say the least!  Ajax now has a sibling cat and a momma that works at home all day!  What a lucky guy...  We can't wait to hear how he is doing.
