Evelyn is our first rescue out of Oklahoma!  Little Evelyn found her self all alone and at a very rural shelter that had very little space for dogs and for some reason a lot of dogs.

A great pilot with Pilots N' Paws swooped into Elk City, OK and picked this girl up and brought her to Colorado!

Evelyn is now Terra has been adopted by a great gal and we can't wait to hear how Colorado is treating her.  :)

Leroy - adopted 4/22/2010

Leroy is our second dog out of Shreveport, Louisiana...  And what a catch he was...  Leroy was pulled out of a kill shelter in LA and was kept by a very nice lady that tried for 5 months to find him a home with no luck.

After those five months she became desperate and the last thing we wanted was for him to go back to the shelter, so off to Colorado he flew!

Leroy now has a mommy & daddy and two human brothers that love him very much.  We are SO happy for Leroy for finding his forever family.

Fifi - adopted 4/18/2010
Fifi was one of eight puppies that was pulled along with their momma Fable from Athens, TN.  After a LONG journey to Colorado, Fifi finally got to find a family.

Fifi's journey took a bit longer that her litter mates as she and her momma actually escaped from one of their temporary foster homes in Kentucky on the journey.  After a week of searching high and low, we found Fifi and Fable with a great family that actually picked up the two no more than 15 minutes after they disappeared.

Fifi's is now Kimber and lives in Littleton, CO.  We can't wait to hear how things are going.

Fletcher - adopted 4/18/2010

Mr. Fletcher was one of eight puppies that was pulled along with their momma Fable from Athens, TN.  After a LONG journey to Colorado, Fletcher finally got to find a family.

Fletcher's new name is Tucker and family lives in Englewood, CO and man do they love him!  We can't wait to hear how things are going.

There are now prospects that Fletcher will be a big brother to another puppy soon.  We can't wait to find out if it happens!

Elroy - adopted 4/18/2010
What an amazing story of survival for Elroy.  He found himself the only puppy in a rural shelter in West Virginia an we were for sure going to take him.  And then he got sick with parvo.

After being treated for parvo and surviving, Elroy made is long awaited journey to Colorado.  It took more than a month between when we said he was ours and rescuing him from euthanasia and parvo to get him to Colorado.

Elroy has been adopted by a gentleman from Denver that waited for this little guy.  He even helped us get Elroy along with Fable and Fifi to Colorado by driving ALL the way to Lawrence, KS to pick them up from one of our pilots from Pilots N' Paws.  Thanks Mike for helping us not only save one but three dogs

Elsie - adopted 4/15/2010
Elsie came to Colorado not exactly as planned.  She was pulled from a horrible place in North Carolina and was spoken for by a rescue in Wisconsin.  Well after she got all the way to WI, the rescue didn't show up for her OR the other 13 dogs they had committed to.  Because MHLRM had Ebony on the same transport, we had a great volunteer head out to pick up any pups that had lab in them.

Elsie at first doesn't appear to be lab, but that is because some idiot cropped her ears!  Oh well, she is the sweetest and probably nicest puppy lab we have ever had.

Elsie is now a resident of Wyoming and has a stay-at home mommy and three great big brothers and a new dad she will always forever call her own!

Flash - adopted 4/15/2010

Flora was one of eight puppies that was pulled along with their momma Fable from Athens, TN.  After a LONG journey to Colorado, Flora finally got to find a family.

Flora was adopted by a lovely couple of Denver (Park Hill), CO and she is doing great!

Here is an update from her family:
Now known as Zia (which means light and splendor) and she is the light of our lives!  She is doing great and is a total love!  She is very smart and so training has been pretty easy (although she is a bit willful at times).  She is completely housebroken, sits and lies down on command (without treats now) and stays and comes when she wants to (working on those).  We are going through a Puppy Socialization class at PetsMart very successfully.  Boy is she a social creature - she loves all people, children, other dogs and cats as well (who are learning to tolerate her).
We are sooooo happy and glad that we found you who helped us find this furever friend and great companion and family member :)
Thanks for everything!
