2011 June Adoptions

Dolores - adopted 6/25/2011
Came to us from Brazoria County, TX where she was picked up as a stray.  We really wonder what happened to her as she missing a toe on both of her back legs and her tail hangs in a hook.  After taking her to one of MHLRM's vets for her spay, it was determined that either her missing toes and hook tail were the result of abuse or even an injury or birth defects.  Dolores has started heart worm treatment to treat her infection and she has finally come back negative from the infection!

Haxtun - adopted 6/25/2011
This little family was dumped in Wichita Falls, TX in a shelter that doesn't do adoptions to the public.  Their only hope was being pulled by a rescue, and MHLRM is it!

Granada - adopted 6/12/2011
Little Granada came to CO from Joplin, MO.  She was so lucky to survive the tornado and was FLOWN out of MO via Pilots N' Paws and a great new pilot to the volunteer community.  This girl is a peach and now has to cat siblings!

Garfield - adopted 6/10/2011
Garfield and Grover were removed from a hoarding situation at a trailer park and none of their siblings were found.  If they aren't half brothers from different mommas, they are at least cousins.  Both boys were covered with flees and had tape worms when they were taken to McKinney, TX's shelter. Unfortunatley for them, McKinney always has TOO many labbies and these boys' time was up way too fast.  Thank you Susan for getting them to safety in TX and Jason for flying them to Colorado!

Grover - adopted 6/10/2011

Denver - adopted 6/6/2011
Denver came to us from Elwood, Texas.  He and his sister Dillon were dumped in the country at an old country church in East Texas.  They had been on their own for a while when MHLRM got the call.  They have been in foster care since 3/5/2011...

Barley - adopted 6/5/2011

Barley was found dodging traffic in Salt Lake City, UT and a concerned citizen picked her up and too her to the pound.  She has been there since December 2010!!!  Barley was literally out of time and we were very blessed to get some transport help and get her to Colorado.  She is a wonderful dog and it is very sad that she has been looked over because people think a 4-year-old lab is "old"...  We are so sad that we know she hasn't had her own family in over a half a year.  She deserves one and the right family will know she has A LOT of years ahead of her for sure and will be a great family dog...

Dillon - adopted 6/4/2011

Genesee - adopted 6/1/2011
